On 5 December 2026, Bârma opens its doors in La Tania, Courchevel 1400. This new 4-star hotel and its residence sit at the foot of the slopes of the world’s largest linked ski area. A contemporary mountain refuge designed for families, skiers and anyone who loves the mountains.
A new hotel in Courchevel La Tania
Nestled in the forest at 1,400 metres, La Tania is the most peaceful village in Courchevel. People come here for the village atmosphere, the fir trees and direct access to the 3 Vallées ski area. There is no rush: you enjoy the mountains at your own pace, between two runs or out on the terrace.
It is in this setting that we imagined Bârma. Our idea: a contemporary refuge, where natural materials and clean design meet the comfort of a 4-star hotel. The rooms open onto the peaks or the slopes.
Bârma is for anyone who wants to experience Courchevel differently. Families will find rooms suited to them and a kids club. Keen skiers enjoy direct access to the slopes. And those who come above all to unwind have the spa and the south-facing terrace. Just a few minutes from Courchevel 1850 and Méribel, La Tania offers the calm of a village without giving up the buzz of the big resorts.
Ski-in/ski-out on the 3 Vallées
At Bârma, you put your skis on as you step out of the hotel and ski back to the door at the end of the day. No shuttle to wait for and no walking down the street in ski boots: your ski day starts at the door.
From La Tania, the lifts take you to Courchevel and Méribel in a few minutes. From there, the whole 3 Vallées ski area opens up to you, with more than 600 km of slopes. Beginners, families or experienced skiers: everyone finds their playground, from green runs through the forest to the great high-altitude routes.
Everything is on hand so you can enjoy the snow without a care:
- a ski shop to rent or service your equipment without leaving the hotel

Bârma brings together two ways of staying in the mountains: the comfort of a hotel and the freedom of an apartment.
75 rooms and suites, from 21 to 101 m², with views of the mountains or the slopes. Couples will choose a Deluxe room or a Junior Suite. Families will appreciate the Deluxe Family rooms and the Duplex Family rooms, designed for 4 people. For a more spacious stay, the Master Suite (70 to 80 m²) and the Alpine Suite (101 m², up to 6 people) offer a true home from home at altitude.
70 alpine apartments for those who prefer to live at their own pace: getting up when you like, cooking a family meal, having friends over. You keep access to the hotel’s services: spa (at an extra charge), restaurant, concierge and ski shop.
And because holidays are also shared on four paws, dogs are welcome at no extra charge.
A Susanne Kaufmann spa to recover after skiing
After a day on the slopes, head to the spa. We chose Susanne Kaufmann, an Austrian natural skincare brand, for its treatments based on alpine plants. An approach that naturally extends the spirit of Bârma: simple, authentic and rooted in the mountains.
The spa includes an indoor pool, a wellness area and treatment rooms. Sportier guests will also find a fitness studio equipped with WaterRower rowing machines, to keep in shape before or after skiing.

At La Table de Bârma, the cooking is relaxed, sincere and generous. The great Savoyard classics are revisited, to share with family or friends after a great day on the snow.
